SSALT lightpaint-5778 Lightpainting a swingset
Having taken a quick tutorial from Matt, and some practice shots in the “studio,” this past weekend i headed out the Governor Nelson State Park to try my hand at it for real. Another photo enthusiast joined me (also named Steve). Together we shot for a couple hours, mostly in the dark. Some of the shots had some interesting light from some sodium vapor security lights from the parking structure (on Steve’s mostly). We took turns painting and shooting, nice team work. Even got the local Park Ranger interested (well, it probably did look pretty weird from across the way… two guys yelling at each other, counting down out loud, flashlights waving everywhere, and a whole lot of “Hurry! no, wait missed a spot go back, Hurry!”
This shot is composed of Steve holding an incandescent flash light stationary on the one seat, and me with an LED flashlight going up and down the chains.
